After a highly successful series in Vietnam, Poker Dream is gearing up for a return to the familiar destination of Genting Highlands, Malaysia. Poker Dream Malaysia 11 is set to take place from August 1 to August 12.

Poker Dream 11 has announced an impressive guaranteed prize pool of MYR 5,000,000 (approximately one million dollars) for the Main Event alone. This is a significant effort by the organizers to create a spectacular Main Event.

As always, the Poker Dream Main Event offers numerous flights and opportunities for players. The 13 Day 1 flights are divided into three different buy-in levels.

  • For a buy-in of MYR 2,400 (~$516), there will be 4 flights, and players will compete until 7.5% of the field remains before bagging chips to advance to Day 2.
  • For a buy-in of MYR 3,200 (~$688), there will be 5 flights, and players will compete until 10% of the field remains before bagging chips to advance to Day 2.
  • For a buy-in of MYR 4,800 (~$1,032), there will be 4 flights, and players will compete until 15% of the field remains before bagging chips to advance to Day 2.

The Poker Dream 11 Main Event will run from August 6 (Flight A) to August 10 (Flight N), with the final day taking place on August 12. Additionally, there will be satellite events offering players a chance to win a Main Event seat for as little as MYR 390 (~$84).

In a special twist, you can even enter the Main Event for ~$0 by participating in the FREEROLL tournament on the opening day, August 1. This tournament will be open to a maximum of 250 players (200 direct registration seats and 50 media seats). The FREEROLL winner will receive a MYR 2,400 Main Event seat, while those finishing in positions 2 through 5 will receive a MYR 1,000 Malaysia Open 1A seat, and those finishing in positions 6 through 9 will receive a MYR 220 Satellite to Malaysia Open seat.

Main Event Structure

  • For the MYR 2,400 buy-in flights (including Flights 1A, 1D, 1G, and 1L), players will start with 15,000 chips, equivalent to 150 big blinds at Level 1. Each level will last 20 minutes, and players can rebuy or late register until the end of Level 7. For Flight 1A, Level 7 is expected to occur at 2:30 PM local time.
  • For the MYR 3,200 buy-in flights (including Flights 1B, 1C, 1E, 1H, and 1J), players will start with 20,000 chips, equivalent to 200 big blinds at Level 1. Each level will last 30 minutes, except for Flight 1J, which is a turbo with 10-minute levels. Players can late register until the end of Level 8. For Flights 1B and 1C, Level 8 is expected at 4:35 PM, for Flights 1E and 1H at 11:30 PM, and for Flight 1J at 1:34 AM.
  • For the MYR 4,800 buy-in flights (including Flights 1F, 1K, 1M, and 1N), players will start with 30,000 chips, equivalent to 300 big blinds at Level 1. The duration of each level varies: Flights 1F and 1K have 40-minute levels, Flight 1M has 20-minute levels, and Flight 1N has 10-minute levels. Players can late register until the end of Level 9. For Flights 1F and 1K, Level 9 is expected at 8:20 PM, for Flight 1M at 11:30 PM, and for Flight 1N at 1:44 AM.

Players who advance through more than one flight of the Main Event will receive the DREAM BONUS. Specifically, if a player advances through two flights, they will receive an additional MYR 20,000 (~$4,300), anh if they advance throught three flight, they will receive MYR 30,000 (~$6,450).

Each flight will play down to the money, with a minimum prize of MYR 7,700 (~$1,655) for those who still have chips. Players can compete in multiple flights to chase the Dream Bonus. If a player makes Day 2 with multiple stacks, they will continue with their largest stack, and the other stack(s) will be forfeited.

Day 2 will feature 40-minute levels until only 16 players remain to advance to the Final Day. The Final Day will have 60-minute levels, providing a deep structure that allows players to showcase their full range of skills.
