Aiming for a stronger year ahead, the popular Asian Poker Tour is gearing up to bring another chart topping series to start the 2024 season. Players can get ready to mark their calendars with the full schedule for the exciting APT Taipei unveiled earlier this week. The awaited series hits the felt on February 28 through March 10, boasting over TWD 150,000,000 (~USD 4.8M) in combined guarantees headlined by its richest Main Event to date. An eleven trophy event lineup completes the schedule with buy-ins ranging from TWD 10,000 (~USD 320) to its favored signature event, Superstar Challenge charging the highest TWD 800,000 (~USD 25,000).
The festival will once again make its return to CTP Asia Poker Arena with the tour’s partnership with Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP) continuing to build strength. This season’s 12-day festivities are expected to draw in a bigger attendance with another partner venue secured to accommodate the massive field. The Chinese Mahjong League 華人麻將競技聯盟 (CML), located in central Taipei 1.7km away from the Arena, is set to host some of the games, giving interested runners a hint on what to expect a month from now.
“CTP and the Asian Poker Arena has a special place in our hearts as this is where the New Era of the Asian Poker Tour launched last year to record-breaking numbers. We guaranteed TWD 50 million in our last poker festival in Taipei and that has now tripled to TWD 150 million!” said APT CEO Fred Leung.

But we have also included exciting events for the everyman as well. The series officially starts off with the TWD 15,000,000 (~USD 475,000) guaranteed APT National Cup running five flights in total as it plays its way down to a champion by Saturday, March 2nd. Coincidentally, players who miss to run deep can jump on to the action-packed Mystery Bounty Hunter – Sponsored by Natural8 for the festival’s opening weekend. High rollers on the other hand, will see their schedule booked throughout the series with three key events – Superstar Challenge, APT Super High Roller, and APT High Roller, accompanying their Main Event run.
