PokerStars' premier poker series in Asia returns for the third time this year with the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Cambodia, running from November 15 to November 25, 2024. Once again, the five-star integrated resort NagaWorld has been selected as the venue, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of up to one million dollars.
Reflecting back on 2022, when the APPT first came to Cambodia, the main event attracted 378 entries. Alexander Puchalski from Canada triumphed over Kapoor Akshay from India to claim the prestigious cup and a prize of $96,028, approximately 2.44 billion VND.
Half a year later, in May 2023, the number of entries for the APPT Cambodia main event significantly increased to 476, with the total prize pool reaching $623,322, surpassing the initial guarantee of $400,000. Chao-Ting Cheng from China claimed the Main Event cup after a heads-up deal with Junnie Pamplona, taking home a prize of $94,448, approximately 2.4 billion VND.
The guaranteed prize pool for APPT’s third return to Cambodia has been increased to $500,000, and the main event will have a buy-in of $1,650. The Day 1 flights will take place from November 21-23, 2024, with players competing to crown the champion on November 25.
