At event #6: Mystery Big Bounty, the highlight event in the Poker Dream 9 series, Vietnamese representative player Quang Nguyen clinched the championship after surpassing 847 other entries.
A "veteran" in the Vietnamese poker scene, Quang Nguyen is one of the few players who traveled to Genting Highlands, Malaysia to compete in Poker Dream. He left his mark at the Mystery Big Bounty event. With a buy-in of RM2,100 for 3 flights A, B, C on Saturday (March 30) and RM1,400 for the remaining 4 flights on Sunday (March 31), the event attracted 847 participants, bringing the total prize pool to RM1,219,144.5 with RM118,000 for the champion.
In an epic final table lasting 3 hours, Quang Nguyen emerged victorious over his final opponent, Chuah Hoon Sun, another representative from the host country, Malaysia, to claim the Mystery Big Bounty cup.
Today, April 1st, also marks the beginning of competition for Flight A, the first flight out of a total of 12 flights for Day 1 of the Main Event Poker Dream 9 GTD RM10,5M , with a buy-in of RM3,600. Players will compete to advance to Day 2, aiming to reach 7.5% of the field. The entire series will run until April 8th, 2024.
