WPT Cambodia is the first WPT Main Tour event in southeast Asia, and there was a massive turnout for Day 1A with 373 entries, easily surpassing the US $1 million guarantee. And we still have Day 1B, which begins today at 11:30 am.
The buy-in is US $3,500, and registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 9 (around 9:45 pm). Players begin with 50,000 in chips, and this will be a deep structure, with 60-minute levels on Day 1, and 90-minute levels at the start of Day 2.
Here's a look at the remaining schedule:
Thursday, January 25th, 11:30 am: Day 1A
Friday, January 26th, 11:30 am: Day 1B
Saturday, January 27th, 11:30 am: Day 2
Sunday, January 28th, 11:30 am: Day 3
Monday, January 29th, 11:30 am: Day 4 (Final Table)
Day 1A Chipleader Punnat Punsri bagged up 528,500 (176 bb) for Day 2.
There were 373 entries on Day 1A, and after 11 levels of play, 118 players survived to bag up chips for Day 2, which begins on Saturday at 11:30 am.
The prizepool is guaranteed to be worth at least $1 million, and we've already exceeded that number with nearly $1.2 million in the prizepool. Day 1B begins tomorrow at 11:30 am, and we expect to at least double the prizepool to more than $2 million.
Below are the full chip counts of all Day 1a survivors and their respective big blinds for level 12 on Day 2, which will feature blinds of 1,500/3,000 with a big blind ante of 3,000.
