In another week, the World Poker Tour (WPT), in collaboration with Connaissance Management, will kick off in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with the first Main Tour event in Southeast Asia. Taking place from January 17 to January 30, 2024, at the world-class integrated resort NagaWorld, this is the largest festival ever announced by the brand in the region, featuring 44 events, highlighted by the WPT Cambodia Championship with a guaranteed prize pool of 1 million US dollars. 

This is the first time WPT has expanded the total prize pool to seven figures for a debut event in Southeast Asia. In keeping with tradition, the champion's achievement will be eternally commemorated on the Mike Sexton Champions Cup, according to expert Danny McDonagh, who is present here.

The WPT Cambodia Championship takes place from January 25 to January 30, 2024, with two scheduled starting days. Based on player feedback, the tournament's notable highlight is the deep blind structure. Starting with a chip stack of 50,000 and level 1 featuring blinds at 100/200, each level will last for 60 minutes for the flights on the first competition day. Starting from the second playing day, the levels will extend to 90 minutes each. During critical stages or the late moments of the final table, the levels will decrease to 45 minutes each. The entry fee is set at 3,500 US dollars.
